Martine Parent, Registered Psychotherapist and Mental Performance Consultant, is passionate about mental health in general. Her consulting philosophy focuses on the person and on the whole human experience.
Her approach is based on providing counselling and encouraging mental, emotional and physical well-being in every aspect of life, with a focus on diverse sport-related experiences.
Her mission is to help individuals discover the best within themselves and unlock their full potential to increase their quality and enjoyment of life.
She works on both mental health and mental performance by providing practical coping strategies to improve emotional wellness, increase self-esteem, strengthen resilience, and guide individuals through their journey towards self-growth.
Her approach is a short-term/solution-focus using emotional resilience, CBT, mindfulness, mental skills, performance enhancement, stress/anxiety management, recovery from injury and rehabilitation, emotional management, and positive personal development.

Education and experience
Martine Parent is a Registered Psychotherapist of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), and a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA),
In addition, she is a Mental Performance Consultant (MPC) with the Canadian Sport Psychology Association (CSPA).
She holds a M.Ed. in Counselling (individual counselling) and a M.A. in Human Kinetics in Intervention and Consultation (sport psychology), as well as a Bachelor in Psychology.
She has worked with a wide array of clientele, including athletes of varying disciplines, ages and levels of competition (university, provincial, Canada Games, Olympic, Paralympic, professional athletes). She also delivers various workshops on the topics of mental performance and sport psychology.
Martine Parent Outside of Work
Martine loves animals and outdoors activities. She is also a sports enthusiast (ice hockey, cycling, running, yoga), as well as a globe-trotter wannabe (so far only Ireland, but so many more places to visit). She loves to mess with recipes and cook healthy meals.
