Lorena Ibacache's Approach
Lorena Ibacache is a Mental Health Counsellor who is passionate about supporting her clients to find within themselves the answers they are seeking.
She has an innate ability to empathise and establish a strong rapport with clients while conceptualising and assessing their situation, customising her approach to the client's changing needs.

Lorena was born and raised in Santiago, Chile. She's a former Preschool Teacher with more than ten years of experience working with children and their families, as well as developing community programs to support children's development in high-risk communities.
She graduated from the Saint Paul University Master of Arts (M.A.) program in Counselling, Psychotherapy and Spirituality (2015) and completed the Advanced Training in Self-in-Relationship Psychotherapy (2016). Lorena provides counselling services under the supervision of registered Psychologist Dr Augustine Meier and is covered by most third party insurance plans.
Also, she is in the application process to become a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
Lorena will invite you to unpack your story and unravel what is happening for you here and now. She uses an integrative and holistic approach, combining client-centred, emotion-focused, narrative, and psychodynamic therapies, adapting them to her client's particular needs.
She is deeply committed to her clients’ wellbeing and will assist them to explore and understand issues associated with, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, stress, loss, grief, anger and self-esteem issues.
She aims to foster a safe, non-judgmental and compassionate environment, enabling her client's to explore past and present experiences. Lorena believes that every individual can shift current patterns that are causing them difficulty and focuses on supporting her clients to feel empowered to make the changes they are seeking in their lives.
Lorena Ibacache Outside Of Work
Outside of work, Lorena enjoys live music and art, loves to grow plants, going for long walks, taking pictures, being in nature and sharing time with friends.
Lorena also plays Singing Bowls, and since 2012 she has been using them regularly for grounding and meditation.
