Muscle testing can be used to identify areas of dysfunction in the body and determine the underlying cause of health issues.
What is Muscle Testing?
Muscle testing or more specifically Applied Kinesiology (AK) began in 1964 with research of the American chiropractor, George Goodheart, Jr., D.C. Since that time it has been developed into a comprehensive diagnostic and treatment system. AK is used by thousands of healthcare throughout the world. The governing body for AK is the International College of Applied KInesiologists based in the United States.
What will you learn during the workshop?
- The history of AK.
- How muscles are tested in AK.
- How do use muscle testing underlying causes of health issues.
- How to use AK to identify appropriate treatment modalities to resolve health issues.
- How to test a specific muscle so that you can apply that skill and knowledge in your practice the following day.
About your workshop leader
Dominick Hussey is a Functional Medicine and Osteopathic Manual Practitioner and co-founder of the Ottawa Holistic Wellness. He first encountered AK in 1997. Fascinated by this new tool he immediately began using some basic testing on his osteopathic clients. In 1999, he completed the ICAK training. Since then, he has employed AK extensively in his osteopathic and functional medicine practice to help his clients.
