Health Insurance Plans
A message from Sue, Clinic Director
How many of you have insurance coverage? And how much does it actually cover?
My question to you is “How much is your health worth?”
So often I see people come to our centre with chronic, ongoing issues. The medical profession is providing little relief beyond medications and possibly surgeries...
After just a few sessions they start to feel better, however, they use up their meagre insurance coverage and stop coming until next year. Of course all the benefit is lost in the meantime, their health declines and we start all over again next year.
This is frustrating to us as our passion is to provide REAL healing. We want to see you get better and STAY BETTER!
This takes commitment from YOU, the client.
We ask that you consider investing in yourself and in your life. You have the power to take control of your future!
Health Insurance Plans usually provide some coverage for Osteopathy, Chiropractic, Naturopathic Medicine, Registered Massage Therapy, Acupuncture and sometimes Reflexology, Social Work (Hypnosis) and Nutrition.
Individual plans do vary so, please contact your provider to be sure that they do provide coverage. It may also be necessary to obtain a referral from your medical doctor before treatment. (Ottawa Holistic Wellness cannot be expected to know the specific details of your plan).
In particular you need to check that your plan covers the licence that your practitioner holds.
When possible we are happy to direct bill insurance companies. Often we can direct bill for Registered massage, Chiropractic, Naturopathic Medicine, and Acupuncture. Please check with us and with your provider that this is possible before your appointment.
We accept most credit cards, Interac and cash. We do not accept AMEX.
Where we cannot direct bill insurance providers for your visit, we require payment at the time of the appointment. We can provide you with a printed insurance receipt at the time of payment, and we can also email you a copy or provide a statement for any given period itemising all your appointments for insurance or tax purposes.
